I am so very, very behind! I know there are a lot of days I didn't even take a picture :(

I just discovered this week what awsome light comes in our front windows right before dusk. I did a bit of photoshoping on this one just to kind of smooth out her skin....might have overdone it a bit. Need to practice that a little more.

I was driving around today looking for "Springy" things to shoot and found this little herd of calfs hanging out right next to the fence. They were cool with me standing there looking at them, but as soon as I put the weird black thing to my face they took off running! That green grass is straight out of the camera. In a couple months it will all be brown.

Spring.

Despite (or maybe it's because of) all the rain we've had the past couple weeks, and the cool weather, Spring seems to be making it's way anyway.

Caught.

I caught Megan playing in the laundry room this afternoon. Don't you love her crazy hair? This is her every afternoon....after the nap, after she pulls out her ponies or anything else I try and do with her curls. It's like her hair gets more currly every day.

See...this is my problem. When I start something new I just can't stop. I've been sewing, sewing sewing all weekend. And I made Megan and I matching headbands today. Hers is much cuter than mine...My head is just not made for wide bands. But now I'm mildly obsessed. I want to run out and buy all kinds of fabric. I had to put the sewing machine away and walk away so I could get some other stuff done.

ETA: I also made a small blanket for Megan's babies, a little purse, napkins...basically anything I could think of with the yard of fabric I had.

I've had my Grandma's machine sitting in my laundry room for about 6 months. I just never got it out. Today I did, learned how to thread it and practiced sewing a bit. Thinking about maybe...maybe actually making something. Who knows.

Where I want to be.

Some days this is the only place I want to be. Snuggled up in my bed with miss-matched sheets with a good book.

It's me. In a bathroom. Again.

Best I could do for today. I tried to get a picture when I was cutting my own hair. But yeah...that didn't work out so well. I cut my hair myself for the first time today. I couldn't help it. I was desperate. And I can't see paying someone to do it when I don't even have a style. I just needed about 3 inches cut off the bottom. Anyway, I did it. It's kind of liberating. I had to stop myself because surely I would have ended up bald if I didn't just put the scissors down. I think I did ok for my first time. I guess someone will tell me tomorrow if it's crooked. At least I hope they do.

Day 48.

Working in the garage. Megan helping daddy out.

Breakfast.

Lazy day. All of us home together. We all layed in bed until well after 9! And then I made us breakfast. Eggs, waffles, bacon. A good morning.

Day 46.

Mess left over after a long night of scrapping.

I put some new shoes on...

...and suddenly everything is right.

Is it just me, or do my feet look huge?

The only reason why this is significant is because besides flip flops, these are the first new pair of shoes I've bought in.....a really long time.

Valentine's Day party at school. Complete with Happy Meals for each kid. Yep.

The Hero and the King.

Drawing is probably one of Jake's most favorite things to do. I love it because I feel like he and I kind of have this bond together through it. Coloring was probably my most favorite thing to do when I was younger too and it makes me so happy to see him enjoying it just as much. And though I think his skills are pretty stellar for a 5 year old...it's his imagination that really gets me. This is not just your ordinary picture of a boat and some 'guys'. No. This is a story of a hero and and a bad king. The hero is there on the right (see is sword?) and the bad king is there on the left (see the sad face?) And see that guy floating in the middle? That's an angel. I'm not doing this story any justice, really. Jake took at least 20 minutes to tell me all what was happening here in his picture. He explains things with such great detail. I know I'm partial...but I think he's a pretty cool kid.

Moose.

Can you tell what this is? It's a huge crate that is currently sitting in the middle of my living room. This is part of my life as a wife to an obsessed avid hunter.

Please welcome our newest addition to the Wilcox Wildlife Museum. The Moose arrived today. I don't even know what to say.

Creative Caos.

Kind of a lame picture but it was late and this was all I had left for the day. I'd almost forgotten to take a picture. Anyway, this is part of my scrap-space. I spent some time today reorganizing a little. All the stuff in the 3 rectangular bins were shoved into just 2 bins. I finally went through and separated letter stickers/thickers, stickers and rub-ons, and journaling cards into 3 bins. There is still so much stuff crammed in behind those bins I need to go through.

Minor Casualty.

This is how Jake brought her to me. I was downstairs, heard her cry just a little and about 3 minutes later Jake brought her down to me, with his head hung low...let me know that he accidentally hurt her but that he "fixed it". He put neosporin on it and everything. At first I laughed because it was just so cute that he tried to be brave and fix her up. But then I took the band aid off to inspect. You can see a little speck of blood here in the picture. There is actually a pretty deep gash under there, and another on her top lip.
Below is the culprit. This dragon and umm....JAKE. He threw this thing at her for...I have NO idea why. I'm not sure if you can tell from the photo, but this thing has some major weight to it. I bet it weighs a pound. Anyway all is good now. I think she might end up with a black eye though.

Two girls.

It occurred to me after almost 40 days of pictures....that I wasn't in a single one of them. So this is the best I could do for today. Just me and Megan hanging out. Waiting for the boys to come home from the ranch.

I think I'm going to try and put myself in a picture at least once a week from now on. We'll see.
